Random Spotlight

The Beginning

A while back, an independent federation called True Xtreme Wrestling(TXW for short) started. It was just a bunch of wrestlers that had never been famous anywhere, most of them just learning how to wrestle from the TXW's training facility, The Pit.

The TXW offered a very extreme brand of professional wrestling, and the fans loved it. Suddenly, TXW was one of the biggest indy feds around. But TXW still stayed underground. They still only sold videos, never had live matches. They still kept simple storylines, and simple gimmicks.

But although the storylines and gimmicks were simple, they became outstanding. And a lot of that is the work of two men.

TXW started having random matches, one including a wrestler named Trigger taking on another one named Pogo. Many fans considered the match to be the most incredible they had ever seen before. Epecially since Trigger and Pogo showed so much respect towards each other.

The owners of TXW decided that they would headline their first pay per view with Trigger and Pogo teaming together in a tag team match. The pay per view was called Invasion(this was before the WWF came up with their PPV name), and it was the TXW litterally invading another independent federation, the BBWF.

The main event was Trigger and Pogo, taking on a BBWF team. In the match, Trigger and Pogo totally dominated, leaving many fans breathless.

But the next week on a TXW television show, Trigger and Pogo's celebration was cut short, when Pogo brutally attacked Trigger. This would start one of the most vicious fueds in wrestling history.

Trigger and Pogo spoke of each other harshly for the next month, and all the rivally culminated in a pay per view titled Trigger vs. Pogo. This pay per view was entirely devoted to seeing who the toughest challenger was. The main event would determine the TXW Champion. Trigger won all the preliminary matches, but he knew the main event would be very difficult. And it was.

The main event for the TXW Championship was set in a bamboo cage, which was choosen by Trigger, since he had won his previous matches. In the match, the top of the bamboo cage was missing, and the winner would be the first wrestler to escape through the top of the cage. It was an amazing match. Some of the highlights include Pogo climbing to the top of the cage, and Trigger leaping up, catching Pogo's legs, and pulling him down. Another great moment was when Pogo was about to leap over the top, but instead jumped off, and planted a dropkick on Trigger. Many people say that the most astonishing factor of the match was when Trigger received seven simultanious Bowery Drivers, but still managed to get up. In the end, it was Trigger using one of Pogo's own moves, that led to him climbing over the top, and becoming the champion of TXW. And Trigger was quite a champion.

He defended the title very often, over the next several months. His title reign came to a hault on an episode of TXW television. It was a handicapt ladder match, Trigger vs. Pogo and the massive giant, Blackout. At the end of the match, Trigger had Pogo locked in his finishing hold, the Bamboo Cage, and while he was distracted, the 400+ pounder, Blackout, made it to the top of the ladder, to win the title. It didn't last long though, because the next week, Trigger destroyed Blackout in a brutal match, and regained his TXW Championship.

After a short break, TXW came back to the Pay Per View scene, with what many call the best TXW event ever. It was entitled Trigger vs. Pogo II, and proved to be magnificant.

Right before Trigger vs. Pogo II, the BBWF had closed down, and TXW took in many members of the BBWF roster. Plus, they had a whole new batch of wrestlers from The Pit. Now TXW had a whole new lineup, including SyN, Hellraiser, Backlash, Survivor, and others.

At Trigger vs. Pogo II, one of the greatest matches was a triangle match, SyN vs. Blackout vs. Hellraiser. Amazingly, the underdog, Hellraiser, came out on top, after a 20 minute match. Even though it was amazing, nothing could compare to the main event.

The main event was of course Trigger vs. Pogo, but the match was billed as an Ultimate Ironman Match. This had the same basic rules as an iron man match: Whoever has the most vicories by the 60 minute mark wins. But the Ultimate Iron Man match was different in a way. For the first 15 minutes, everything goes, pinfalls, submissions, etc. For the next half hour after that, no pinfalls are allowed. Then, 45 minutes into the match, the stakes raise, with the only way to gain a victory being to knock your opponent unconcious. Finally, with 3 minutes to go on the clock, everything goes again.

The match was astounding. In the first 15 minutes, Trigger gained over 20 victories. Then, right when the 15 minutes was almost up, Trigger suffered his first pinfall ever. Although he was still in the lead, Trigger was amazed that he had let Pogo pin him. More trouble would come next. In the round without pinfalls, Trigger and Pogo resorted to their favorite means of competition: submissions. For the next half hour, each competitor battled the other with several submissions. Amazingly, Trigger found himself giving up several times, another thing he had never done. With submission round nearly up, the score was pretty even. Trigger with 35 victories, and Pogo with 32. Trigger's manager, 'Golden' Kristi Garth, had never seen Trigger this close to loosing before. Now, Kristi was a person that was always after the gold, and sensing that it might belong to Pogo by the end of the evening, she attacked Trigger.

Trigger could not believe she did that, and he let out his anger in the knockout round, by knocking Pogo out 10 times! Pogo was barely awake at all that round. In the last three minutes, where everything goes once again, Pogo made a desperate attempt to win, but was stopped by a Don't Mess With Me DDT by Trigger in the center of the ring. Trigger pinned Pogo 1 last time, right as the buzzer sounded. The match was over, and Trigger was still the TXW Champion.

After the match, Trigger made an emotional speech, and decided to take a break from Pro Wrestling. Trigger has not been heard from since.

The next week on TXW television, Pogo claimed ownership to the TXW Championship. The mention of gold attracted 'Golden' Kristi Garth, who of course now wanted to be on Pogo's side. Pogo already had a manager, Shella, and he returned Kristi's offer with a Bowery Driver right on the mat. After a few weeks, a new challenger emerged. He was dressed just like Pogo, just with different colors. His name was Heartless. He and Pogo faught several battles, and finally, after trying very hard, Heartless defeated Pogo to become TXW Champion.

Then, for some reason, TXW disappeared, and most of the wrestlers from it retired. But some went on to reek havoc in other federations.

The Next Stage

After the TXW closed, fans tried desperately to find the original warriors, but most of them were fighting in very small federations. But as the wrestling world was getting over the close of TXW, another federation was rising. The FWF.

The FWF, run by the amazing Meyhu brothers, started gaining more and more popularity. Another reason that made it a big federation, was the fact that the original Vice President was suspected TXW President, The Mastermind. Though nobody was certain that he indeed was the old president, it was a common belief.

One night, on an FWF house show, none other than TXW's Pogo made an appearence! The next week, FWF had a nationally sindicated program, and Pogo was the first Hardcore Champion. Even though he was a heel, the fans loved watching him wrestle, and most of the old TXW fans started watching FWF.

A few weeks before the FWF's first Pay Per View, another TXW Warrior, sYn, debuted. He quickly won the FWF's World Championship, and TXW had a lot of gold in the FWF. Though Pogo soon lost his hardcore championship, and sYn lost his world championship to Destroyer, the TXW energy was still getting stronger.

The week before the pay per view, a mysterious man came to FWF, claiming that he would destroy the FWF and all they held dear. At Monday Massacre, this man ripped off his mask, to reveal it was none other than Trigger!

Within the next week, a lot of things happened. First, the wrestling world turned to FWF, and it began to become bigger than the original TXW. Then the Meyhu Brothers, worried about a TXW invasion, fired Vice President Mastermind, along with Pogo. But before they could get to Trigger, CEO Megan Meyhu signed Trigger into a four way match for the World Championship at Doomsday. But Trigger changed the stipulations, making it a Bamboo Cage Inferno match!

The match was amazing, and in the end, Trigger won, to become the FWF World Champion.

The next week, TXW Warrior Silver Fyre debuted, and other warriors such as Blackout, Backlash, and Survivor interfered!

Trigger reminded the Meyhu's that he had been planning an invasion since day one, and now it had begun!

With the FWF's kindom crumbling, Trigger moved on to another federation, still with the FWF World Championship. He went to the Bloodbath Wrestling Organization, or the BWO for short.

There he met many of the current TXW warriors, including Seth McCarty, Shadow, Evil Emil, and G-Dawg.

He was put in the World Title Tournament, and in the process won two seperate titles. Now Pogo was back, and he joined the BWO, and was entered into the tournament.

The tournament went on for weeks, until finally, the finals came near. The two finallists? Trigger and Pogo. And so it went down, at the pay per view Redemption, Trigger vs. Pogo. The match got amazing attention, which took away even more from the FWF. Trigger won the match, and became the first BWO World Champion. He felt that he had accomplished all he needed to there, and left the BWO, handing the title over to G-Dawg.

Trigger decided that it was truly time to retire, and he came to FWF to announce it. But while he was in the ring, The Meyhu's had Eminem brutally attack Trigger and take the title, injurying Trigger in the process.

So Trigger was retired for good, with an injury to stop him from ever coming back.

But Trigger wasn't done yet. He decided that it was high time to rebuild the True Xtreme Wrestling. He got some wrestlers together, and used his life savings to launch the federation.

When all the paper work was done, the roster looked wonderful. The staff was a secret, but from the looks of it, they were good. But Mike, Mark and Matt Meyhu were not finished either. They were angry at Trigger, blaming him and the rest of TXW for the demise of the FWF. So an event was made, where the best of FWF would take on the newly made roster of TXW. TXW was definately the underdog in the competition, for FWF had estableshed many main eventers, and everyone in TXW was still a wild card. In the main event, a ladder match between the team of Sadistic/Seth McCarty and Destroyer/Eminem. At the last moment of the match, Trigger ran in, and revealed that he was president(nobody knew that yet). He also revealed the Vice President as Pogo, and the Commissioner as Megan Meyhu!

The Meyhu brothers were shocked, and angered, but that couldn't stop the TXW.

TXW took many wrestlers from the roster of FWF, including Eminem and Kruzty. And within the first week after the showdown, FWF was closed forever.

But TXW proved to be a different story, getting amazing ratings with their first show. Soon, champions were crowned, with Sadistic as the world champion, The Fat And The Furious as the tag team champions, and Crow as the Xtreme champion.

As the weeks progressed, everything seemed to go well, until one Lights Out, Megan Meyhu turned on TXW, explaining that she was doing the same thing Trigger had done to the FWF!!! She recruited the tag team champions, as well as Dan Martely, to wrestle for her. The tension started getting thicker and thicker, until the TXW pay per view, Insanity Rising, came about.

During the card of Insanity Rising, FATF member Chubbs Magoo was thrown in jail, and Pogo severely injured Dan Martely. In the tag team title match, Megan got her brothers, Mike and Matt Meyhu to get the job done, and destroy The Evil Eyez for the tag team championships! And as if it wasn't devastating enough, Pogo turned on TXW and Trigger as well, challenging him to a match at the next pay per view!!!

In the main event of the evening, new star The Shadow debuted, winning the World Championship from Dark Haze, but forming an alliance with former champion Sadistic.

That is our past. What is our future? That is for you to decide.

The Slope

One month later, Vengeance Is Mine bombarded the wrestling world with the best they had seen before. Strangely, TXW stars Dark Haze, Brandon Brokeyaoff, The Shadow, and Silk had all disappeared from the scene. But TXW refused to let it hold us down. In a vicious match, Eric Reilly won his daughter back from Kruzty, Crow, and Bonded after months of trauma. Unfortunately, Kruzty got to Reilly's wife, and she ended up staying with him. Reilly was closing a chapter in his career, and the show continued to get better. In one of the hardest fought battles in TXW history, Showtime proved himself against X and Jesse Jamester. It was newcomer Jamester that came away with the victory, but Showtime was the one that pushed all three men to their maximum limits. For that he was rewarded greatly soon after. Suprisingly in the next match, Sadistic lost his Warrior Championship to another newcomer, Jamie Madrox. Madrox and Jamester had fought the week before, and with both of them holding titles, everyone knew that they would soon meet again.

In the match that shocked the world, President Trigger, ignoring career ending injuries, stepped into the ring to battle arch enemy and Vice President, The Insane Clown Pogo. Xtremer still, the stipulation was the dreaded Ultimate IronMan Match! In the end, it was awkwardly a draw, which left fans baffled. But they didn't have too long to worry, as next, Eminem defended his world championship in the first ever Vengeance Match. It was long and brutal, but in the end, Shooter came through with the victory, winning the covetted championship. As fans began to leave the arena, they were pulled back to their seats with Trigger making an important announcement. He claimed that if PoGo would come backstage and face him in an impromtu matchup, he would put his presidency on the line! They did so, and in the end, Trigger won by throwing PoGo right through the glass window and down to the ground three stories below. Vengeance Is Mine was over, but the TXW's history sure wasn't!

In the next few weeks, TXW went through some rough times, with the Meyhu's reaking mayhem, and big surprises, including the dramatic return of X's number one rival: Steve Rockman. Rockman and X fought in what was supposed to be the match to end it all. The loser would have to leave TXW forever. Rockman was the loser, but in an act that will astonish fans for generations, he returned the next week, claiming that he was gone from the TXW forever, but he had been rehired by the FWF! With tensions rising between the FWF faction and the TXW, everyone knew something had to be done. Mike Meyhu used his sisters commissioner status, and Pogo's VP status to sign a match putting himself against President Trigger, for presidency of TXW!

The next Pay Per View was entitled Aftermath, and the aftermath it left was unimaginable. In a huge royal rumble match at the PPV, newcomer Nick Slater upset half the TXW roster when he won the rumble and became the first ever Lights Out Champion. It was a vicious match, and one that is very memorable. Next came the big showdown: Trigger vs. Meyhu. The match was brutal and bloody. In the end, with the help from a returning Silk, Trigger won the match, but he was very injured. In a promo by Pogo later, we found out that as long as Trigger was out of action, a temporary president would be chosen by the Vice President and the Commissioner. It looked now as if FWF was in complete control of TXW. In the main event of Aftermath, a two round tournament took place for the World Championship. Jesse Jamester fought by Sadistic to advance to the finals, while a returning Matt Meyhu did the same to current world champion, Shooter. The final match was a classic...two men battling for the gold, their pride, and nothing else. In the end, Matt Meyhu surprised Jamester by winning the championship. After the Pay Per View though, a strange event occured: Dark Haze was spotted at the arena! But would he be enough to switch the momentum back to TXW? Not yet at least.

Soon, the TXW went balistic. We had an FWF Commissioner(Megan Meyhu), and FWF VP(Pogo), and with things looking grim for Trigger, an FWF President(Mike Meyhu). In control of the roster, the other Meyhu child, Matt, held the world championship, with no intent of giving it up. Chubbs Maggo and Justin Tense were both back on the scene looking for the tag team championships. Mark Meyhu had recently made an appearence, and he was thought to begin wrestling soon after. The TXW was in peril. The TXW was dying. In the eyes of many, the TXW was dead.

Thit is our past. What is our future? Can the TXW fight off the FWF for good? Have we seen the last of President Trigger? Will we go on? Will we survive? That is for you to decide.
